An Intriguing Window design

install2Well, this was certainly something you don’t see everyday…

Got to help Chuck and Quincy install this up in the Seattle Scottish Rite Masonic Center. The amazing paint work is by Raphael Schnepf.

I don’t know the significance or story behind the symbols in the design. Chuck’s got a post up on his facebook page, so I am guessing its alright to show this… that we aren’t breaking any kind of secrecy about it – that, and the fact that this is above the front entrance of their building, a not-so-secretive looking place with a sign and a parking lot.

Stained Glass Installations

Installing windows for Chuck Franklin Glass Studio at Voodoo DohnutsOne way to supplement income during the recent slow times has turned out to be stained glass installation. It’s also been a great way to be more exposed to the wonderful works happening in our community… inspirational really. Occasionally fellow glass artists just need an extra hand.

I always do my best to say yes whenever asked. Each opportunity is rewarding just to get to interact with others in the field.
